“It’s a good place to vent.”
“Safe place to get your mind out from negativity.”
“To see the world from the perspective of other people. It is a shame that men especially have a hard time communicating effectively between each other to find support because of stigma, media portrayals, etc… But to hear a group of them attend an event like this and really open up and let their emotions out was…surprising. Perhaps that’s the wrong word, but I think it was because it was something I’d never seen before. Almost like when you’re exposed to a new experience, your mind doesn’t really know how to process it because it’s living in the moment second by second absorbing and reacting with no time to think and articulate clear thoughts. Same with the meeting. It was a great place where perhaps centuries of men being told they shouldn’t show their emotions was being reversed, was being changed.”

“No matter what you’re going through, it’s ok to speak up because your peers are listening to support you without judgment, addiction can be debilitating to everyday life, and partaking in people’s monumental occasions can be a flattering opportunity, yet the responsibilities can be taxing financially and emotionally.”
